Yadda Yadda Yadda

Editing is fun, all I'm saying.

Just as Dirty Bomb is implied to say, Don't be a Dick. Especially on the wiki. People need this info.

Loadout Card 'dusting' system (WIP)

A new WIP video has been released courtesy of the Dirty Bomb Tumblr. Dave Johnston, one of the Splash Damage/Fireteam developers and best known for his work on creating the iconic de_dust2 map from Country Strike, released some early footage of a new system for loadout crafting. The system will allow users to 'dust' cards into a point system called "Components". Users can then use these components to craft the cards they want. It is unknown at this time if this new system involves RNG but it does not seem so. In the video it says:

It seems according to the the description given in the video that it will allow players to craft the exact card they want, including rarity.

New Images for Dockyard and Gallery

Dirty Bomb now has a development blog on tumblr where they will post news about new maps, mercs, updates, etc... anything dev related. Find it at dirtybombgame.tumblr.com.

The current EV final approach in Dockyard is looking quite different to how it was in the public playtests. The whole map has undergone countless updates and still has more to come. This section is still being tweaked it’s still in its ‘block-out’ or ‘white-box’ state.

The route from attackers spawn into site A.

Max Bashki Teaser

For those who don't follow @DirtyBomb on twitter a new teaser has been released for future content. Nothing was said besides a link to a cryptic audio recording.

Here is a transcript from the video:

A fake Max Bashki twitter page has been created at @MaxBashki and tweets have been posted since March 11, 2016. The reveal of the new merc, which should be Aimee, will probably take place April 18th (, 2020). Fairly certain it's Aimee because of the highlighted tweets below, our last post "Turtle probably won't be the next merc" and the fact that Aimee is in the game files and spawnable.

Turtle probably won't be the next merc

Turtle seems to be a fan favorite on the wiki and DB in general. With almost every poll we create on the wikia related to "what merc should be released next" dominated by Turtle. Besides all the Turtle love it appears our lovable Turkish objective specialist probably won't be the next merc in Dirty Bomb.

With the recent Dev Q&A on reddit, which you can read a recap here, [SD]Exedore (a.ka. thrmoptc on Reddit) has shared some news with the community. For those who don't know [SD]Exedore is the lead designer for Dirty Bomb.

When asked if Aimee and Turtle would be the roaster cap thrmoptc says:

Chances are Turtle won't be released for a while. This is of course assuming thrmoptc is telling the truth. In the meantime you can always read-up on Tur…

Dev Q&A

A couple of days ago (January 21st, 2016) the developers at Splash Damage had a Q&A session on /r/DirtyBomb, here is a recap of some of the comments. This post is mainly here for archiving on the wikia and making it easier to read/find in the future. Feel free to comment here or on reddit.

I have summarized some of questions to save space and get to the point but have left nearly all the answers untouched. The answers are ordered by "most amount of upvotes" or reddit. Personally I would have reordered them but I don't think I should decided what is important to the community, the community should decide that. However...

This is my personal favorite answer, some DB players should take note ;)

What's the best non-gaming related advice you would…

Calling all Dirty Bomb players!
