- As of the November 22, 2017 balance update --- Fel-ix can gib mercs with or less than 80 health if headshotted
- The FEL-IX and the BR-16 are the only weapons that aren't assigned as default weapons to any mercs.
- The FEL-IX is based on a weapon called the "Lynx GM-6 anti-material"
- The Containment War Update (2015-10-28): the Fel-ix can no longer instantly gib full-health players; however, players below 50 health can be gibbed. A player already down can now be instantly gibbed with the FEL-IX with a single shot, regardless of hit location.
